2 teens injured in shooting in Egger Highlands neighborhood
An 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were injured in a shooting on Elm Avenue near 18th Street around 9:15 p.m., San Diego police said
Two teens were wounded during a shooting in the Egger Highlands community of San Diego on Saturday night, police said.
Police responded to a report of gunfire on Elm Avenue near 18th Street around 9:15 p.m. and found a crowd of juveniles running from the area. Officers found an 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her left leg.
Officers later learned that a 17-year-old boy had been taken to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds to his shoulder, chest and buttocks. Both teens’ injuries were not considered life threatening, police said.
Police said the shooting was under investigation and they had no suspects in custody.
