A mansion once owned by Muhammad Ali is up for auction

A home once owned by Louisville legend Muhammad Ali is up for auction, according to Louisville Business First.The mansion, an Italian Renaissance home in Los Angeles, is up for auction. Bidding for the house will close on May 15. Ali owned the home from 1979 to 1984. It includes antique fireplaces, French Empire chandeliers and imported Italian marble. The mansion’s lower floor features a grand entry hall, a sun room with a glass roof, a spacious salon, a formal dining room, a living room with oversized bay windows and a den with a wet bar. According to the release, the estate has hosted many notable people including Sylvester Stallone, Clint Eastwood and President Barack Obama.Upstairs, there are bedrooms and offices, including a massive primary suite with its own fireplace. The suite opens onto a columned deck that overlooks two landscaped gardens. The grounds include a swimming pool, stone fountains and patios. The mansion and its guesthouse are surrounded by privacy hedges and nestled behind the guarded gates of Fremont Place, an exclusive gated community in Hancock Park.
