    What's the story

After almost a year-long wait, fans of Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan can finally rejoice as the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke gears up for its OTT premiere. Although met with mixed reviews upon its theatrical release on June 2, 2023, the film unexpectedly soared to sleeper hit status globally. Now, audiences can catch the film on JioCinema starting Friday (May 17).

Written and directed by Laxman Utekar, the film was bankrolled by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. It narrates the story of a happily married couple from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Kapil and Somya, who decide to end their marriage, leading to a series of comical events. Kaushal and Khan aside, the film also featured Inaamulhaq, Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, Rakesh Bedi, Sharib Hashmi, and Akash Khurana.

    Financial success

'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' achieved huge box office success

Despite a modest reported budget of under ₹40 crore, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke earned a staggering ₹115.89 crore globally, surprising everyone with its success. The film made over ₹88 crore at the domestic box office despite a shaky start, largely due to positive word-of-mouth and viral songs from the film. This marked a significant achievement for Kaushal and Khan's first big-screen outing. Meanwhile, Kaushal's next release is Bad Newz, while Ali Khan will next be seen in Metro... In Dino.
