Bullis girls, operating on a different level, win ISL track title

The Bulldogs earned first place by more than 140 points, winning another conference crown with ease

The awards ceremony for the Independent School League outdoor track championships followed a repetitive script Saturday. For nearly every event, the same announcement rolled over the loudspeaker.

“And in first place, from Bullis ... ”

By the end of the presentation, nearly every one of the 16 Bulldogs runners had medals draped over their white hoodies. When the team’s final score of 234.5 points was read aloud, other teams could only laugh at the gap between the Bulldogs and the rest of the conference.
