Akshay Kanti Bam, who was recently the congress candidate from indore lok sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh, has joined BJP. After this he withdrew his nomination in the lok sabha elections. Due to withdrawal of nomination of Akshay Kanti Bam, congress did not get a chance to field a candidate here. The situation is such that congress seems to be alone here. Even the congress symbol will not be visible on the EVM during the indore lok sabha seat elections. Now only bharatiya janata party candidates are fighting alone in Indore. Many other candidates including independents are also in the fray from here, but they are not as strong politically as compared to the bjp candidates. In such a situation, it is being speculated that there may not be any meeting or rally of any big leader in indore during the entire elections.

PM Modi has held a meeting in indore division

Till now no big leader from bjp and congress has reached here to hold the meeting. Two days ago, prime minister Narendra Modi had held meetings in Dhar and Khargone to woo the tribal voters, both these places fall in indore division. Apart from PM Modi's meeting, no other big leader has attended a meeting here.

Indore seat has been occupied by bjp since 1989

Talking about congress, under the leadership of rahul Gandhi, congress has also held a meeting in Khargone. Many big leaders leave indore only after touching the airport. indore lok sabha seat is considered the stronghold of BJP. bjp has been continuously winning from here since 1989 and currently bjp candidate shankar Lalwani is the mp from Indore. Many veterans of bjp including common people had raised questions on Akshay Kanti joining bjp just before the elections. One name of former lok sabha speaker sumitra mahajan is also included among them. He had said that this has tarnished the image of indore and secondly, the grip of the congress candidate is not like that of shankar Lalwani.
