May 11

 

Mother’s Day Rosary service – In-Person or Virtual – Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles: Join in prayer, thanksgiving and in memory of mothers at in-person locations or online, 2-3:30 p.m. All 11 Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries are taking part at the same time for in-person. Also, those who attend in-person Mother’s Day Rosary services on May 11, may drop off prayer intentions (petitions) that will be taken to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. They will be blessed and presented to the Virgin of Guadalupe by Los Angeles Archbishop José H. Gomez at a Mass July 6 at the Basilica in Mexico City. Cars We Love to D.R.I.V.E. Car Show – Calvary Community Church: Registration is open now for the second annual car show at the church. No fee to register your car. Donations are encouraged by car show participants and attendees, however, to make a donation to the church’s “Gift-a-Lift” program that provides cars for young adults coming out of the foster care system (see details on the website).
