Amidst the lok sabha elections, the troubles of bjp mp Brij bhushan Sharan Singh seem to be increasing. Delhi's Rouse Avenue court has ordered framing of charges against former wrestling association president Brij bhushan Sharan Singh in the case of alleged sexual exploitation of female wrestlers. Along with this, orders have also been given to frame charges against Brij bhushan Secretary Vinod Tomar.

This time, bjp has canceled the ticket of mp Brij bhushan Sharan Singh, who has won the election from UP's famous seat Kaiserganj for three consecutive times. His son karan bhushan Singh has been given ticket from this seat. On being denied ticket from Kaiserganj, mp Brij bhushan Sharan Singh had said that nothing is bigger than fate, it is the decision of the party and God. On june 15, 2023, delhi Police had filed a charge sheet against Brij bhushan Singh under sections 354, 354-A, 354-D and section 506 (criminal intimidation) regarding the sexual harassment case of five female wrestlers. The lok sabha seat from which Brijbhushan sharan Singh is mp includes three from Gonda district and three from bahraich district. It is believed that Brij bhushan Sharan Singh has a lot of influence on the nearby lok sabha seats also. However, now only time will be able to tell what effect the framing of charges against Brij bhushan Sharan Singh will have on his vote bank.
