Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Friday at 11:25AM

Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(up 2.35%), Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 1.91%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.82%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.46%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.42%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.37%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.31%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 1.20%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 1.09%) and Aries Agro Ltd.(up 1.04%) were among the top gainers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.98%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.59%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 0.58%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 0.34%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.14%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 130.91 points up at 22088.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 348.35 points at 72752.52 at around 11:25AM.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 4.44%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.19%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.74%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.53%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.49%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.42%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.15%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.0%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.89%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.8%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 1.28%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.09%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.02%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.56%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.55%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.38%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.3%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.28%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.24%) were trading in the red.
