Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Friday at 10:50AM

Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 2.34%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(up 1.69%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 1.43%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 1.37%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 1.26%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 1.23%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(up 1.21%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(up 1.13%), Emami Ltd.(up 1.07%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.07%) were among the top gainers.

Future Consumer Ltd.(down 4.17%), ADF Foods Ltd.(down 2.37%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.81%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 1.44%), Dabur India Ltd.(down 0.81%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 0.77%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.57%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.50%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.35%) and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(down 0.15%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 101.41 points up at 22058.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 282.73 points at 72686.9 at around 10:50AM.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.38%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.3%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.43%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.07%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.07%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.05%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.97%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.91%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.82%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.74%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Infosys Ltd.(down 1.47%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.11%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.89%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.57%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.5%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.45%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.38%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.37%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.37%) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.2%) were trading in the red.
