Motorcyclist dies after colliding with car in Vista
The crash was reported around 1 p.m. Thursday on Hacienda Drive just south of state Route 78
A motorcyclist died Thursday after crashing into a car in Vista, according to a sheriff’s official.
The man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle on Hacienda Drive just south of state Route 78 when around 1 p.m. he collided with a Subaru hatchback, said Sgt. Eric Cottrell in a news release.
Paramedics took the motorcyclist to Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, where he died. His name was not immediately released.
The Subaru driver was uninjured. The hatchback suffered major damage, Cottrell said.
The preliminary investigation suggests alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the collision.
