PORTLAND, Ore. — Dozens of police units are searching for a burglary suspect that possibly broke into a home in Fairview in east Multnomah County.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said they are looking for the suspect in the area of Bridge Street near Northeast 223rd Avenue.

Bridge Street is shut down during the search.

"We're still searching a relatively small area for the suspect and there's no immediate danger to the larger neighborhood or public," said Sergeant Bryan White with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Multiple law enforcement agencies appear to be involved in the search including the sheriff's office and Gresham police officers. A SWAT Team was also seen arriving on scene, according to a KGW photographer.

This is a developing story and will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
