Lupin shares rise 1.56% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Lupin Ltd. traded at Rs 1609.1 on BSE at 11:57AM (IST) on Friday, up 1.56 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 734.25 and a high of Rs 1703.8.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 13,878 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 11:57AM (IST).

The stock of Lupin Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 72202.21 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 40.44, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 5.16. Return on equity (ROE) was at 13.39 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 302 stocks traded in the green, while 199 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 47.01 per cent in the Lupin Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2024 while foreign and domestic institutional investors owned 18.29 per cent and 27.69 per cent, respectively.
