Saskatoon police rushed to a domestic disturbance call Thursday afternoon where they said an injured woman was flagging down people for help from a roof.
Officers said the woman tried to escape a house in the 700 block of Weldon Avenue by climbing out a window onto the roof.
She was able to get the attention of a passerby for help.
Police said firefighters helped her from the roof when they arrived.
Officers said they learned an armed man might have still been in the house, but a patrol of the residence found it to be empty.
All traffic restrictions that were in place on Avenue P South between 15th and 16th streets west, as well as in the 700 block of Weldon Avenue, have been lifted.
Police said they are still investigating.
