Firefighters were called to a supermarket in Bicester following reports of a smell of smoke at the store.
Four fire crews rushed to the Tesco Superstore at Lakeview Drive after receiving the call at 10:36pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 8).
After investigating the reports, the fire crews found no sign of smoke or a blaze before leaving the supermarket just under an hour later at around 11:30pm.
An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to Bicester Tesco at 10.36am. There had been reports of a smell of smoke.
“Four crews attended, from Bicester, Kidlington and Oxford.
“Crews investigated but did not discover any sign of smoke or fire. They left at 11.28am.”
