Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Thursday at 10:14AM

Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 3.04%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 0.92%), Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(up 0.76%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(up 0.56%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.49%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 0.34%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 0.25%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 0.07%) and Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 0.06%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 2.02%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.64%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.25%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.16%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.07%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(down 0.80%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.69%), Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.67%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.51%) and Aries Agro Ltd.(down 0.45%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 101.41 points down at 22201.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 253.53 points at 73212.86 at around 10:14AM.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 5.77%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.59%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.56%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.57%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.28%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.07%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.46%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.42%), State Bank of India(up 0.36%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.33%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 3.6%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.28%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.61%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.57%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.47%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.37%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.28%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.27%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.25%) and Coal India Ltd.(down 1.15%) were trading in the red.
