The Steamboat Springs girls soccer team closed out its regular season with a resume just strong enough to slot in with the No. 30 seed in the Colorado High School Activities Association 4A state playoff.

The Sailors had their hands full Wednesday night when they hit the road to take on No. 3 Windsor in the first round of the tournament. Steamboat managed to hold Windsor to just a few goals, but was unable to find the back of the net itself, falling 3-0 and ending its season.

The girls finished the year with a 7-6-3 record and are the first team to represent the Sailors in the girls soccer playoff since 2022.
