Sinkhole swallows vehicles, forces evacuations in a New Mexico town

A large sinkhole swallowed two cars and forced the evacuation of a few homes in Las Cruces, New Mexico on Monday night. According to the Las Cruces Fire Department, firefighters found a sinkhole 30 feet deep and 30 feet wide. The sinkhole swallowed two cars that were parked in the driveway of a house. As a precaution, three homes in the area of the sinkhole were evacuated, and the Red Cross is helping those impacted. Local utility companies were called to evaluate any possible damage to infrastructure. No injuries were reported by the fire department for this incident.
