Siemens shares drop 1.41% as Sensex falls

Shares of Siemens Ltd. traded 1.41 per cent lower in Thursday's session at 01:18PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 6327.55 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 6330.0 and Rs 6180.05, respectively, during the session so far.

The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 6330.0 and a 52-week low of 3248.0. About 7,035 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

Benchmark Nifty50 was down 253.21 points at 22049.3, while the BSE Sensex traded 775.22 points lower at 72691.17 at the time of writing of this report.

For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4989.3 crore, down 16.19 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 5953.2 crore and down 21.19 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 505.41 crore for the latest quarter.

Promoter Holdings
Promoters held 75.0 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2024, while FIIs held 8.3 per cent and MFs 3.03 per cent.

Technicals
On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 4188.14 on May 09, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 5280.28. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward.
