Dermot Smurfit Jr now says his ambition is to 'challenge the traditional video games industry'
The Irish businessman Dermot Smurfit Jr last year earned almost $1m (€930,000) from GAN, the US-listed gaming technology company he founded, before he resigned as its chief executive in September.
According to the company’s annual report, which has been filed with the SEC, Mr Smurfit was paid $637,900 (€593,400) in salary, a bonus of $80,500, stock awards of $83,300 and option awards of $127,900, making a total package of $929,600.
