Eid al Adha 2024 likely on June 16, Youm ul Hajj on June 15
It should however be noted that the final and confirmed date of Eid al Adha and Arafat Day 2024 (Youm ul Hajj 2024) will be confirmed only on 29th of Dhu al Qadah 1445 AH.
Hajj 2024 (Hajj 1445 AH): Hajj and Eid al Adha this year i.e. 1445 AH corresponding to 2024 AD, is likely to fall on June 15 and June 16, 2024 in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other Arab States.
According to the Islamic Calendar noting, Hajj ritual this year will begin on Friday 08 Dhul Hijjah, corresponding to June 14, 2024, and culminate on Wednesday 14 Dhul Hijjah, corresponding to June 19, 2024.
As per the Hajj 2024 Schedule, pilgrims will leave to Mina from Makkah on 8th Dhul Hijjah. After a day's stay in Mina, pilgrims will set for Mount Arafat on 9th Dhul Hijjah for the key Hajj ritual.
Standing on the Plains of Arafat till sunset is the compulsory ritual for Hajj. From Arafat, the pilgrims will be required to stay in Muzdalifah, and sacrifice animal on 10th of Dhul Hijjah (Eid al Adha) in Mina.
The noting in the Islamic Calendar says Eid al Adha 2024 is likely to be celebrated on June 16, 2024.
It should however be noted that the final and confirmed date of Eid al Adha 2024 and Arafat Day 2024 (Youm ul Hajj 2024) will be confirmed only on 29th of Dhu al Qadah 1445 AH after sighting of the New Moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah.
Hajj 2024 Flight Schedule
Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands from around the world are preparing to travel to Makkah in Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
About 2.5 million Muslims, including 175,025 from India, are likely to perform Hajj this year.
According to the Haj Committee of India (HCoI) pilgrims from India will embark for Hajj Travel through a total of 25 embarkation points namely: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Srinagar, Ranchi, Gaya, Guwahati, Indore, Bhopal, Mangalore, Goa, Aurangabad, Varanasi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kannur, Vijayawada, Agartala and Calicut.
As per the Hajj 2024 Action Plan, the first Hajj flight from India will be on May 05, 2024. The Last Hajj departure flight will be on June 10, 2024. Core Hajj duration will be from June 14 to 19, 2024.
First return Hajj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on June 20, 2024 and the last inbound and return flight will be on July 21, 2024.
