Six-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler has become the latest player to commit to the 2024 Travelers Championship field, with the tournament making the announcement Wednesday.
The 35-year-old Fowler is the 39th-ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Rankings and has long been one of the fan favorites on tour. He’s made eleven starts this season and made the cut eight times, with his best finish coming at the RBC Heritage, where he finished in a tie for 18th.
Fowler has also been named to the U.S. Ryder Cup team five times, and is a three-time participant in the U.S. Presidents Cup.

Fowler’s lucky number at the Travelers has been 13, as he’s finished tied for 13th each time he’s made the cut (2010, 2013, 2023). The Travelers’ status as a Signature Event this season will mean that many of the players in the world will participate and there will be no cuts, with the winner taking home $4 million and a $20 million total purse.
“Few players in golf are as distinctive as Rickie. The impact he’s made on young golf fans is impossible to miss,” Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said in a statement. “We followed him closely as an amateur and how good he was in 2009 when we gave him a sponsor’s exemption. He’s been successful on the PGA Tour ever since.”
Fowler will join Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa and others who have already committed to the event, which is set for June 20-23 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
