Southwest Airlines Celebrates Achievements in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Sustainability in Latest Corporate Reports

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) has released its annual corporate citizenship reports, the One Report and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Report, which showcase the company’s efforts in various corporate citizenship areas. These integrated reports cover financial performance, corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) activities, and DEI priorities.

Key highlights from this year’s reports include:

• The advancement of the Nonstop to Net Zero sustainability strategy and updated environmental goals.
• The initiation of Southwest Airlines Renewable Ventures.
• The transportation of a record-breaking 137 million revenue passengers in 2023.
• Efforts to foster a sense of belonging and investment in employee development.
• Enhancements to customer experience, including fleet-wide upgraded WiFi, digital baggage tracking, larger overhead bins, in-seat power, complimentary same-day standby, and improvements to the Southwest’s Rapid Rewards program that simplify tier status achievement.
