Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 2151.27 crore), RIL(Rs. 2035.66 crore), Marico(Rs. 2022.83 crore), HUL(Rs. 1950.81 crore), REC(Rs. 1780.72 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1711.91 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 1611.73 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 1611.33 crore), SBI(Rs. 1342.71 crore) and L&T(Rs. 1165.13 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 140.21 points down at 22302.5, while BSE Sensex fell 383.69 points to 73511.85.

In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 5.47 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.40 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.48 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 4.14 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.79 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.04 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.01 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.92 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
