The driver of a truck was killed on a one vehicle crash Sunday morning in Chippewa County.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s office received a report of a single vehicle rollover crash at 7:54 a.m., Sunday, May 5, on Wis. 40 north of 155th Street southwest of Bloomer.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department, a southbound on Wis. 40 left the road, drove over a driveway and became airborne. The truck then collided with an embankment and multiple trees causing heavy front-end damage. The truck rolled over and came to a final rest on the passenger side.Â
The driver was the lone occupant and was extricated. Life saving measures were unsuccessful. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
The crash is under investigation by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office. Â
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Bloomer Police, Bloomer Fire, Bloomer EMS, Chippewa Falls EMS, Mayo One Helicopter and Chippewa County Coroner responded.
