It is noteworthy that Sriranganatharaju, who won the 2019 election against tdp candidate Pithani Satyanarayana, took charge as the Housing minister after ycp came to power.
 
But in this election, Pithani Satyanarayana is contesting as the alliance candidate while Cherukuvada Sriranganatharaju is contesting from YCP. Both are ex-ministers and it remains to be seen which of these two leaders with political experience people will lean towards. On the other hand, there is also a sentiment that the party that wins in Achanta will come to power in the state. This sentiment has been coming true since the 2009 elections.
 
Elections have been held three times since Achanta became a general constituency. In the years 2009 and 2014, Pitani contested from different parties and won as MLA. In the 2019 election, Cherukuvada shocked his father. Currently, there is a fierce fight in this constituency, but the surveys show that the father has an edge. Till the year 2004 this constituency was sc seat.
 
While Cherukuwada says that he will win as an mla again in this election and take up the post of minister, it remains to be seen whether his belief will come true. He strongly believes that the development work done by him will win him as mla once again. Even in Jagan's eyes, Cherukuvada Sriranganatharaju has a good name. ycp activists and fans are working hard to get favorable results for Ranganatharaj in the election once again.
