Hardik Pandya returns for his third. And he strikes right away. You can’t keep Anshul Kamboj away from the action and he takes a straightforward catch running in from point. It was a short ball outside off and Nitish Reddy who looked to find some elevation over cover, holes out to the fielder. Marco Jansen is the new batter.

Hardik stays in the attack from one end. FOUR! Nitish plays it very late and gets an outside edge while opening the bat. FOUR! This is classy from Nitish. He stays back and plays a backfoot punch towards point. Another 11-run over for Pandya. 

Anshul Kamboj comes back into the attack. Kamboj to Head, DROPPED! Oh dear, this is criminal. How can you give so many reprieves to this dangerous man? A yorker-length ball flies towards deep third where Thusara puts down a dolly. Kamboj to Mayank, OUT! Clean bowled! Uhh, finally a wicket to this young man. Mayank tried to clear the cover boundary but the ball goes through his defence. In comes the new batter Nitish Reddy at no. five.

Bumrah continues. FOUR! Head gets another boundary. Kamboj misfielded to gift Head another four. Bumrah to Abhishek, OUT! Finally some consolation for Mumbai. Slight movement away from the left-hander and Abhishek nicks it to Kishan. Mayank Agarwal comes in at no. three.

Anshul continues. SIX! Head goes aerial, picks the line early and swings to pull away the length ball over midwicket. Kamboj goes around the wicket and rips through Head’s defence, uprooting his stumps! What a scalp! Hold on, hold on. It is a NO BALL! Head gets another reprieve. Hardik brings Jasprit Bumrah in place of Kamboj. Bumrah loads his wide yorker as Travis Head finds it difficult to negotiate, another lucky single. A brilliant start from the Purple Cap holder who gives just five from his first over. 

Thushara continues. He keeps the length the same and varies with line around off. Three singles from the first four deliveries before Head slams down the ground for a FOUR! 7 from this over. 

Debutant Anshul Kamboj to bowl the second over of the innings. He, too, starts with a wide. A couple of singles followed. Kamboj to Sharma, SIX! Stand and deliver as Abhishek opens his arms and floats his bat to hit the ball over extra cover. FOUR! Travis Head rides on another lucky inside edge which runs to the boundary. 14 off Kamboj’s first over. 

Travis Head takes the strike. Nuwan Thushara starts with a wide, well beyond keeper Kishan’s reach but the latter dived on his right to save a boundary. Thusara keeps Abhishek interested with his swinging delivery which goes down the leg and umps calls it a fair delivery. Abhishek takes a review for a wide call and wastes it. Thushara to Head, FOUR! Lucky inside edge that runs to the fine leg boundary. An eventful over finally comes to an end with seven coming off it.
