Tata Power shares decline 1.73% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Tata Power Company Ltd. traded at Rs 446.7 on BSE at 01:23PM (IST) on Monday, down 1.73 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 199.35 and a high of Rs 464.3.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 701,296 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 01:23PM (IST).

The stock of Tata Power Company Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 145260.14 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 38.53, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 2.11. Return on equity (ROE) was at 11.58 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 144 stocks traded in the green, while 357 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 46.86 per cent in the Tata Power Company Ltd. as of 31-Mar-2024 while overseas and domestic institutional investors owned 9.44 per cent and 15.41 per cent, respectively.
