BJP South Goa candidate Lok Sabha candidate Pallavi Dempo will get a lead of more than 15,000 votes in Sanvordem constituency, said former PWD minister Deepak Pauskar after joining BJP.

“The BJP has fielded Dempo as it has a policy to project women in politics. Dempo is a very good candidate as she is active in social and educational fields for over 25 years,” said Pauskar at his residence at Sanvordem while declaring his entry into the BJP.

He said that he has joined the BJP to ensure that Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term and the dream of Viksit Bharat is achieved.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Pauskar’s entry into BJP was being discussed since last two and half months and it got delayed because of the busy schedule in view of the parliamentary elections.

Speaking about resumption of mining activities, Sawant said the process is delayed because complaints were lodged by some disgruntled elements adding, “Some persons have also filed complaints with the office of Election Commission. Otherwise one mine would have been started full-fledged by now.”
