Chelsea Women's all-time leading goalscorer Fran Kirby will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has spent nine years at Chelsea, scoring 115 goals in 205 appearances and establishing herself as one of the greatest players of her generation.

Along with departing manager Emma Hayes, Kirby will go down as one of the most influential figures in a glorious era for the Blues.

She was involved in 15 trophy wins - including six Women’s Super League titles, five FA Cups and two League Cups - while collecting numerous personal honours along the way.

Kirby, who has struggled with illness and injuries in recent years, broke down in tears while announcing her exit in an emotional message to supporters.

The England international said: "The club has grown since I first joined in terms of fans and engagement.
