Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 80.85 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 21.10 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 10.29 crore), NHPC(numbers of share traded: 9.90 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 9.81 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 8.56 crore), REC(numbers of share traded: 8.32 crore), Federal Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.59 crore), GMR Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.94 crore) and Tata Steel(numbers of share traded: 6.93 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 43.36 points up at 22648.2, while BSE Sensex ended up 128.33 points at 74611.11.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 2.98 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
