Few could have predicted the four-goal thriller between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid - but that's exactly what Daniel Sturridge did.

The two teams played out a 2-2 draw in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Allianz Arena.

And Sturridge correctly guessed that Leroy Sane and Harry Kane would be on target for the hosts, predicting that the latter's strike would come from the penalty spot.

It was Sane who equalised for Thomas Tuchel's side in the 53rd minute - rifling in an effort at the near post for his first goal in six months.

Kane then brushed off Jude Bellingham's trash talking moments later to fire Bayern into the lead from 12 yards out.

Former Chelsea and Liverpool striker Sturridge also predicted that Vinicius Jr would be on the scoresheet, with the Brazilian helping himself to a double.

And while he also tipped Rodrygo to be amongst the goals, the winger did win Real a penalty which helped the Spanish side salvage a draw.

Sturridge commented: "I think Vini and Rodrygo both score tonight. Their speed will kill…"

As for the full-time score, he even guessed that it would end in a 2-2 draw, messaging: "I’m leaning 2-2. Could be 3-2 Bayern if their bench go off. Goals galore."
