In a scathing attack on his main opponent Ramakant Khalap, BJP’s North Goa candidate Shripad Naik on Saturday alleged that the Congress candidate cheated the people of Goa through his cooperative bank and for this he will be taught a lesson in May 7 Lok Sabha
election.

Addressing a public meeting at Sancoale, Naik also criticised the Congress stating that the opposition party was taking people for a ride.

“The Opposition has crossed its limits. Khalap is challenging me to have a debate with him on works undertaken.  People did not re-elect him in 1999; if he had carried out works, they would have brought him back to power,” said
Naik.

“Congress  could not alleviate poverty despite ruling the country for 50 years, but Modi did it in just 10 years,” he said, asking the people to support the BJP to fulfil the Prime Minister’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.
