Everton have confirmed their Premier League status for another season following their 1-0 win over Brentford.

But more importantly, it means the Toffees are mathematically safe from the drop with three games to go, going 11 points ahead of 18th-placed Luton Town.

It comes after a miraculous week where they won the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday night, a result that also all-but ended their rivals from winning the Premier League.

That followed a crucial 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last Sunday to make it three wins in six days - without conceding a goal.

It is the exact scenario Sean Dyche would have dreamt of when looking at the fixture list ahead of the rest of Everton's matches.
