Joined politics to strengthen Modi’s hands, says Pallavi

The BJP South Goa Lok Sabha candidate Pallavi Dempo on Saturday said that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the tireless work and development that he has carried out in the country for the past 10 years to fulfil his promise to the people of the nation that inspired her to step into politics and the BJP.

Speaking at the mammoth public meeting at Sancoale on Saturday where Modi addressed the people of the state, Dempo thanked the central and state governments and BJP leaders for choosing her as the party’s candidate for the South Goa seat. “The visionary work done for the country has made the Prime Minister a world leader. He has a lot of love and affection for the state of Goa and Goans also admire him,” said Dempo, while appealing for people’s support and votes as the daughter of South Goa.

Goa has seen tremendous infrastructural works, including the iconic Zuari bridge and Atal Setu over the past 10 years, all due to the central government, she said.

“I am contesting this election and seeking your support to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Modi to fulfil the dream of Viksit Bharat 2047. I assure the people of South Goa that I will work for you’ll,” said Dempo expressing her commitment to serve the people.

Stating that it is under PM Modi that Goa saw sustainable development, Dempo said, “In Goa the BJP has given 50 per cent reservation to women. This is Modi Ki Guarantee. The Chief Minister is also toiling hard to take the state to newer heights.”

Goa has two Lok Sabha seats and BJP has fielded Dempo from South Goa.

She said that during her visits to South Goa constituencies, she received overwhelming support and love from the BJP leaders, workers and supporters besides the youth, women and senior citizens.

“I will work for these people,” she said.
