Mauricio Pochettino has been told he has the 'hardest job in world' football at Chelsea before their clash with Aston Villa.

Chelsea have had a miserable season with the Blues struggling to make it into a European spot despite fighting back to draw against Aston Villa on Saturday night.

Marc Cucurella scored an own goal after four minutes before Morgan Rogers doubled the lead before half-time but Chelsea clawed it back.

Noni Madueke scored soon after the break before Conor Gallagher delivered a delightful finish into the corner from just outside the box to make it 2-2.

But before a ball was kicked at Villa Park, former Chelsea star Joe Cole sympathised with the Argentine coach on TNT Sports.

"Is he blameless? Like Chelsea, are not where they want to be," Cole said, who made 282 appearances for the Blues over seven years.
