Four Seasons Hotel Dalian’s Wayne Tan Wins Prestigious General Manager Award

Recently, Wayne Tan, the General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Dalian, received the Outstanding Hotel General Manager award at the 2023 Travel + Leisure China Travel Awards.

Since their introduction to China in 2007, the Travel + Leisure China Travel Awards have been held 17 times. These awards are highly esteemed, drawing evaluations from industry insiders, authoritative media, and consumers within the hotel and travel sectors. The evaluation process involves a thorough assessment of hotel amenities and the surrounding locales or attractions. Often referred to as the “Oscars of the tourism industry,” these awards set a high standard in China’s tourism industry.

The 2023 award for Outstanding Hotel General Manager recognizes individuals who have significantly impacted the hotel industry. Wayne Tan, who has been with Four Seasons for over two decades, took charge in Dalian in 2022 to lead the preparations for the new hotel. On April 20, 2024, he successfully managed a grand opening ceremony, marking Four Seasons Hotel Dalian’s debut in the market.

As a general manager, Wayne Tan is not only leading a new hotel but also introducing Four Seasons to a new region. “This is an uncharted sea for us with an opportunity to transform the hotel scene in the city and beyond,” he says, emphasizing Four Seasons Hotel Dalian as the first true luxury property in Northeast China.
