Sony BBC Earth hosts ‘Summer Movie Festival’ for kids in Mumbai and Bangalore

Sony BBC Earth recently conducted a ‘Summer Movie Festival’ refreshing young minds with its content. The event took place in Bangalore and Mumbai, reaching out to 900+ students in partnership with the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM).

The Summer Movie Festival provided an opportunity to watch some of the best Sony BBC Earth content on the large screen. Organised right before the summer vacations, the shows inspired students along with imparting knowledge about wildlife, culture, science, adventure, and exploration. The titles showcased were ‘Inside The Factory,’ ‘Frozen Planet II,’ and ‘South Korea with Alexander Armstrong’.

‘Inside The Factory’ fuelled the curiosity of students as they were taken on a visual tour of the pencil factory in Germany. They learned many things, right from how pencils are made to the reason they are hexagonal.

‘Frozen Planet II’, showcased peaks that create frozen habitats on Earth and the life that thrives in it. It is survival of the fittest as the region grapples with tough climatic conditions, struggle for food, and conditions such as avalanches and volcanic lakes.

Whereas ‘South Korea with Alexander Armstrong’ depicted South Korea’s bustling downtown Seoul as Alexander visited Gangnam, the fabled district known for the popular ‘Gangnam Style’ video.
