BURLINGTON – Mrs. Marcia “Marcie” (Hayes) Czajkowski, 62, of Burlington, entered eternal life Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hartford Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1962, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Raymond and Maureen (Hannon) Hayes. She was the beloved wife of Brian Czajkowski for 39 years.
Aside from her husband, Marcie is survived by two sons, Edward “EJ,” and Matthew Czajkowski and his adored girlfriend Erica Forrest; two granddaughters, Avery, and Cameron Czajkowski; two brothers, Kevin and his wife Marcia Hayes, and Kelly and Liz Hayes; three sisters, Judy Feliciano, Joanne and her husband Dave Masotti, and Sharon and her husband Shawn McKean.
She was predeceased by her brother, Sean Hayes, and sister Debbie Hayes.
Marcie was employed at Hartford HealthCare. Outside of work she was a loving and caring wife, mother, and nana. She loved many things in life, her husband, children and above all, her grandchildren.
She enjoyed eating out at all restaurants, especially the Venetian in Torrington. Marcie loved to travel, from the beaches of Rhode Island to the islands of the Caribbean. Her true passion came down to two things: entertaining and hosting family, especially her granddaughters.
Among her favorite events were Sunday dinners, Christmas Eve, Memorial Day, and July Fourth parties with extended family and friends. Marcie spent countless hours doing crafts, creating makeshift science projects, observing various shows, and above all, watching her granddaughters, Avery and Cameron, play soccer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
