HSSC exams 2025 set for mid-Feb, allowing students early prep for JEE, NEET

Panaji : Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) said that the supplementary examination would be tentatively conducted from May 16 onwards.

The supplementary examination will be conducted for those candidates who are placed in ‘needs improvement’ category or who have withdrawn their examination form.

“Candidates who desire to improve their marks in one or more subjects may also appear for supplementary examination under improvement of marks scheme,” said GBSHSE.

Meanwhile, GBSHSE said that for online submission for verification of marks through schools, the portal will be open from April 23 onwards.

“The candidates are advised to send their request through their school and schools to send all these requests in a single lot and no individual request from the candidates will be entertained,” said Shetye.

GBSHSE Chairman Bhagirath Shetye said that the HSSC examination for the next academic year will be conducted from February 15 onwards.

“Considering the national scenario of the higher secondary examination, it has been decided that we conduct HSSC examination for 2025 somewhere in mid-February. So the annual HSSC examination will be conducted from February 15, 2025,” he said.

“Nationwide, the exam takes place in February, aligning with the deadlines for JEE and NEET. By completing the exam early, ideally in February, students gain ample time to prepare for JEE or NEET,” he explained. Meanwhile the SSC results are scheduled to be announced in mid-May, he said.
