HSGQ/ ODI SFP GPON STICK

I am seeing this GPON posts above and I didn't fully understand what it is. Can anyone tell me what this GPON thing is?

@raksrules those are gpon sfp sticks mainly used to eliminate the big, bulky ONU / ONT provided by a ISP in this case its airtel .
these sticks go in a router with sfp slots and the fiber that comes from isp end to your home directly goes in it. [ i.e a yellow patch cord if you have airtel / jio/ excitel you might have seen]

Aren't there issues with bridging mode? I bought tp-link G7 Gpon to get rid of their bulky router (Airtel) but couldn't make it work. I tried cloning mac address and of course copied over the serial number also.
Finally ended up enabling bridge mode in their router (sercomm aot 4221sr).

ODI / HSGQ GPON SFP

Are you planning to use direct internet connection though SFP with it? I have similar network setup made up of UDM pro but I am doing double NAT for the sake of simplicity.

The Green latch there means it is for green connector fiber cable, right.
And here one can easily clone the serial and mac afait, as managed routers like mikrotik allow this.

Do share some working snaps and if possible working config snaps.
