    What's the story

The wife of arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sunita Kejriwal, addressed the crowd at the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Sunday. She claimed that her husband has no desire for power and just wants to serve the nation. "He is a lion... He is worried about 'Bharat Mata' even in jail," she said. Sunita also stated that every bit of food consumed by her husband was under surveillance, calling the act "shameful."

In her address, Sunita also praised her husband's dedication to public service and patriotism. She highlighted that despite being an IIT graduate with opportunities to work overseas, Kejriwal chose to serve his country. "As IRS, he took leaves to do public service. He has put his life at stake for people," Sunita, who herself is a former IRS officer, said.

AAP supports claims of insulin deprivation

Furthermore, Sunita backed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s allegations that insulin was being withheld from Kejriwal, who has been taking insulin for the last 12 years. The AAP claimed that this deprivation had caused his blood sugar level to spike to 300. However, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) refuted these claims, stating that Kejriwal had been consuming foods high in sugar content and adding sugar to his tea. It suggested this was an attempt to manipulate his health condition for bail.

    Tihar Jail says Kejriwal fine

On Sunday, the Tihar jail said Kejriwal has no serious health concerns amid the insulin row. A source from Tihar Jail told India Today that a 40-minute video consultation with doctors was conducted on Saturday. During the session, Kejriwal was advised to continue with his prescribed medication regimen. The report also added that, during the session, neither Kejriwal nor the doctors mentioned insulin.
