Overdose call leads Craig police to seizure of hundreds of suspected fentanyl pills

Responding to a report of a man who appeared to be overdosing in the parking lot of a local restaurant on Monday, Craig police discovered hundreds of pills of suspected fentanyl and more than $3,000 in cash.
According to the department, upon arriving at 2705 W. Victory Way around 7:48 p.m. Monday, officers found 38-year-old Stephen Kyle Tracy in distress. Officers reported administering first aid to Tracy, who lost consciousness multiple times, until EMS arrived on scene.
Further investigation at the scene led to the discovery and seizure of approximately 700 suspected fentanyl pills as well as drug paraphernalia and more than $3,000 in cash.
Tracy was arrested and, after receiving medical clearance, booked for multiple charges including possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance with intent to distribute, obstruction of a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tracy remains in custody at the Moffat County Jail.
