Vietnam's textile and garment exports increased by 8.8 per cent to $7.820 billion in the first quarter of 2024, with US being the largest market.
Yarn exports also rose, with China as the top buyer.
However, the VITAS has reduced the 2024 export target to $44 billion due to declining global demand, following a 12 per cent drop in sector revenue in 2023.
