Sankhali
With polls to the two Lok Sabha parliamentary seats in Goa just days away, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is campaigning for around 16-18 hours a day.
The CM has been campaigning tirelessly with the sheer determination to ensure a victory for both the candidates and has made several visits to constituencies in North Goa, held corner meetings and talks with the representatives of different organisations.
Recently, he had campaigned for the whole day in Bicholim taluka in
North Goa.
In South Goa also, Sawant is pulling out all stops in campaigning.
Surprisingly, Sawant was familiar with every panchayat member and knew them by the name showing his closeness to the people.
Sawant has expressed confidence that the BJP candidate will poll at least 70 per cent of the votes in his Sankhali constituency.
“A Chief Minister should not consider himself as a big shot but as an ordinary worker and when a worker becomes the Chief Minister, you definitely get the power to understand and comprehend the problems of the people,” said Sawant while talking to ‘The
Navhind Times’.
Sawant has been found to address people’s questions calmly and showing readiness to resolve them.
In the last five years, Sawant has strengthened his relationship with the people of state through Janata Darbar and other programmes he makes time to attend.
