Manchester United's FA Cup semi-final clash with Coventry City this weekend has been moved due to being a 'high-risk' fixture.

The Red Devils will meet their Championship opponents at Wembley on Sunday, live on talkSPORT, for a spot in next month's final.

But despite the FA requesting a 4pm kick-off, the match is set to take place at the unique time of 3.30pm.

This is following talks with the Metropolitan Police who have urged the match to start 30 minutes earlier due to public order concerns.

Such an alteration in kick-off time will be a frustration to the FA and broadcasters, most notably the BBC and ITV.

This is due to later kick-off times attracting bigger television audiences and advertising revenue, meaning that evening kick-offs are becoming more and more prominent.

However, a change in policy from the Metropolitan Police over the last 12 months has changed things, with games involving Man United or Liverpool now deemed to be high-risk.

This is something that has led to frustration from the FA and EFL.

The latter of whom were also irked that February's Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea had to be switched to 3pm.

Last year's FA Cup final between Man United vs Man City also had to be played at 3pm.
