Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 11:10AM

Future Consumer Ltd.(up 5.56%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 3.10%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 1.53%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(up 1.24%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 1.22%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.17%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(up 0.86%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(up 0.86%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 0.81%) and Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 0.79%) were among the top gainers.

Nestle India Ltd.(down 4.05%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(down 1.40%), Marico Ltd.(down 1.33%), Emami Ltd.(down 1.18%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(down 0.85%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(down 0.81%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 0.76%), Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(down 0.71%), Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(down 0.69%) and JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.56%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 126.5 points up at 22274.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 327.02 points at 73270.7 at around 11:10AM.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.69%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.13%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.27%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.09%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.86%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.66%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.65%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.63%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.6%) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.92%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.13%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.97%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.86%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.42%), ITC Ltd.(down 0.31%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.2%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.2%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.1%) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.09%) were trading in the red.
