Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Infosys(Rs. 3144.29 crore), Jio Financial Servic(Rs. 2862.19 crore), RIL(Rs. 2794.16 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 2574.19 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 2510.48 crore), Exide Inds.(Rs. 1907.68 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1840.83 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1757.50 crore), Power Grid(Rs. 1440.65 crore) and Vedanta (Rs. 1397.67 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 152.06 points down at 21995.85, while BSE Sensex fell 454.69 points to 72488.99.

In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 4.06 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.15 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 4.12 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.29 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 3.23 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.18 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
