Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records related to his reimbursement of lawyer Michael Cohen for a hush money payment to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who alleged that she had a sexual encounter with Trump years before he sought the presidency.
The potential jurors’ names are not being made public, and New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who is hearing the case, on Thursday sought to keep some identifying information about them from being made public. Here is what we know about the jurors seated so far, and what they had to say about the case.
Merchan said the plan is to select the five remaining alternate jurors Friday, with the goal of having all 18 people picked before the weekend. The judge has said he expects opening statements to be presented Monday.
