Tennis and Pickleball Center opens outdoor courts for the season

Tennis players compete on the outdoor tennis courts at the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Center with the new pickleball facility looming in the background. Three outdoor tennis courts, along with the outdoor pickleball courts, have opened for the season. More work will be done on the remaining tennis courts this week.

The outdoor courts at the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Center have officially opened for the season.

The warm spring weather over the weekend sent members of the tennis center in action to prepare the courts for play.

Currently, tennis courts 9, 10 and 11 and all pickleball courts have been swept, washed and had windscreens installed. All of those courts are open while three more tennis courts await a washing on Wednesday.

Volunteers are requested by the center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday to assist in the effort. Free food will be provided.

Reach out to Jason Scicchitano at jason@steamboattennisandpickleball.com for more information or if you plan to volunteer.
