ARLINGTON, Texas — Hype around the WNBA has never been higher with this year’s draft class set to bring increased viewership to the league, and the Dallas Wings have secured two star-studded matchups for their first games of the season.

  • The WNBA’s first overall draft pick, Iowa guard Caitlin Clark, has been front and center in the spotlight, and her new team, the Indiana Fever, are set to tip off against the Dallas Wings in Arlington for their first preseason game

  • The game, which was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m., has now moved to prime time, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. on May 3 at College Park Center

  • Clark is not the only college star to be making their WNBA debut in Dallas. The Wings will open the regular season at home on May 15 at 7 p.m. against the Chicago Sky, who drafted LSU forward Angel Reese at No. 7

  • Tickets will go on sale for individual games at 10 a.m. on April 18 on the Dallas Wings’ website

The game, which was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m., has now moved to prime time, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. on May 3 at College Park Center. 

The game will feature programming focused on education and sportsmanship, and administrators and teachers who want to bring their classes to the game can email tickets@dallaswings.com for discounted tickets.

Clark is not the only college star to be making their WNBA debut in Dallas. 

The Wings will open the regular season at home on May 15 at 7 p.m. against the Chicago Sky, who drafted LSU forward Angel Reese at No. 7. The Sky will stay in Arlington for another matchup against the Wings at 7 p.m. on May 18. 

The Dallas Wings had two picks in the first round of the WNBA draft, and the team drafted Ohio State guard Jacy Sheldon at No. 5 and French guard Carla Leite at No. 9.

Tickets will go on sale for individual games at 10 a.m. on April 18 on the Dallas Wings’ website. Season ticket holders will be able to get into the preseason game for free.
